The Band was founded in 2009 (Rome) after Haedus (vocals) and Alessandro Finocchiaro (bass guitar) replied to Adriano Strinati’s web post. It was some sort of “calling”. The music genre and the band references (Blind Guardian, Helloween, Nevermore and Iced Earth) were exactly what moved us on at that time. We recorded our first EP “Leaden Field” that year and eventually, after Giorgio Mannucci (keyboards) and Nicolò De Maria (guitars) joined the band, we realised our first album “Urban Ubris”. From that moment many life events hit the band: some of us had to focus on their studies and careers, others moved to other countries and some left the band, but somehow this music kept the band alive. Adriano was already writing songs for the new album to come, and we all knew this was meant to be a big step forward for the band. While in “Urban Ubris” every song had its own meaning with several kind of interpretation, “The Unconscious Mind Of Arda” was meant to be a concept album inspired by Tolkien’s world in which we conveyed many existentialist ideas.

It had a double purpose: to write music about books we love and to share some important concepts by using a language that all the people who listen to this music genre might enjoy.

We liked the idea that people may identify in our lyrics.

We’ve been enchanted by the power of we were creating while working on the music and the lyrics.

As written before we about to give up many times (we changed a couple of drummers before finding in Francesco Comerci the perfect one, Adriano left the band as we started to record the first songs etc.) but the more we were working on these songs the more we were sure we had to publish this album no matter what.

Year by year our music tastes and influences changed so we decided to add some “spice” to this work to make the whole sound of the band more distinguishable: extreme vocals, folk instruments, a very elaborate orchestral arrangement, modern synths, etc. Everything was put in the right  place to build our own sound.

The album was mixed and mastered by Giuseppe Orlando (sound tech for Rhapsody of Fire) at the Other Sound studios. Giuseppe really contributed on adding that huge, aggressive, punchy sound we were looking for.

With this album in our hands we drawn the attention of “RockShots Records” which started to work with energy on us and really wanted this album to be published with their name on it.
